There will be a final review held by the head TA, Marius Lemm, on Tuesday, December 6th, at 11 AM in 201 Bridge.

However, due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, we cannot place graded work in a public location, without your permission.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is to teach applications of ordinary differential equations, and is more about techniques in solving problems, and there will be more examples, less proofs. The material covered includes techniques in solving first order linear equations, second and higher order linear equations, series solutions of second order linear equations, Laplace transform, systems of first order linear equations, and methods for the study of nonlinear equations.

Calculus 1A

POLICIES

(1) There will be one homework per week. They will be assigned in each lecture and will be posted online. The homework will be due the following Monday at 4pm. Please leave it in the mailbox for Math 2a (practical). At most one late submission will be accepted, except medical reasons, or other serious difficulties (a note is needed from the dean's office).

(2) The final grade will be 50% homework, 20% midterm, 30% final.

(3) Collaboration policy: Discussions about homework are allowed, but the homework has to be written individually. No discussions on the midterm and final examinations.
