The Division of Physics, Mathematics, and Astronomy at the
California Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position
at the assistant professor level in mathematics. We are especially interested in the
following research areas: topology/geometry, analysis, algebraic geometry/number theory,
but other fields may be considered.
The term of the initial appointment is normally four years and appointment is contingent upon completion of the Ph.D. Exceptionally well-qualified applicants may also be considered at the associate or full professor level with tenure. We are seeking highly qualified applicants who are committed to a career in research and teaching.
