Visitors are
required to display a permit if their vehicle is parked on campus
between the hours of 7am–5pm, Monday–Friday. (No permit is required
after
5pm.) Visitors must park in the
Commuter
(General) parking area.
Visitor permits
are available at automated pay stations at the following locations

Visitor
permits may be purchased at the rate of $1 per hour, $5 per day, or
$15 per week. A $5 daily permit is valid through the end of the business
day
(5pm) in which the permit is purchased. (No permit is required after
5pm.)

Please make your hotel reservations early. Also, make sure to request
the Caltech rate (or Simon Conference rate) and the "best rate available,"
then compare. Some hotels have special weekend deals. Rates do not include tax.

Los Angeles' main
airport, LAX, is about 45-60 minutes from Caltech;
Burbank airport is 20-30 minutes but has fewer flights. Long Beach
and Ontario are less convenient but possible.
